What I learned from my past relationship is:In a relationship, the more you give, the more you get. Conversely it is also true: the more you want, the less you get. This is similar to the "empty box" metaphor: relationship starts with an empty box. The more you put in, the more you have.
This is in agreement with the definition of love: "love is giving". The more you give, the more love you get. This also agrees with the law of reciprocity - you receive what you give.
A friend of mine think love is hard to get or it is a luxury. I disagree. If you still have the ability to give, then you can have love or maybe you should count your blessings.

Summer is officially over. Hearing some fireworks in the distance.. Season premiers are all over TV- all about new loves, new lives, new promises.. Well, it's been a good summer. Took some time off, enjoyed lots of traveling & all these different places; reconnected with familly and old friends, made some new ones as well as a few mistakes, had some fun, and now summer is over.
Can't get over what a friend said "I told you before, love is a luxury to many, but it seems that you just don't get it" . Finally realize he's right, I understood every word, but didn't get it coz all this while I believed I wasn't one of the 'many'. Love seems like an entitlement. Well, the truth might well just be: no, sweetheart, it's a lottery. And you know how lucky you can ever get. lol.
Summer is over. Look forward to the fall.
