Went to Southend-on-sea today. It was not an impressive town at all, comprising of a typical high street where you find most of the usual names. The pier, which stretched 2 km into the sea, was probably the only thing worthy of visit in the seaside town. But my head was nearly frozen and blown off by the chilly gusty wind when I made my effort to walk through the whole pier. Didn't do much there. Just hang around in the city centre going to several street markets, but again there's nothing impressive at all. Walked along the seashore and the beaches in the afternoon, when it was much warmer. Then I hopped on a bus to venture into other parts of the area. I ended up in Canvey, Leigh Beck, where I stayed for half an hour venturing between houses, and finally made my way to the shore. Another long day for me.
Was back to church this morning for Bible study (woke up too late for Sunday service). Then travelled to Tower Gateway to figure out where is Fenchurch Street Station. Walked along the River for a while afterwards, and returned to Oxford Street by bus. I have been thinking about getting some new clothes for myself these days, but in the end I just couldn't find any that I really like. Went to Youth Fellowship this afternoon, and dinner with my groupmates afterwards. It was fun because we do all know each other and we all believe in this One God. Thank God for walking in between us all.
