London was extremely hot yesterday... and something seemed to be happening in Leicester Square... police and barricades... Cannot think of any premieres... But last year Leonardo DiCaprio did came for Aviator's premiere - doesn't matter if it is not Orlando Bloom anyway 
Watched 5x2 at PCC.
Stopped the text package at Vodafone.
Looked for handcream with Jessica in Covent Garden.
Beat the Clock at Belgo.
Drink at Cresent.

Watched "Star Wars: Episode III, Revenge of the Sith".
A spectacular scifi, feeds the senses well enough;
Why am I drawn into serious contemplation though?

Still haven't received Warren's reply... And so it turns out I cannot even begin my research after a month has lapsed... WHAT AM I TO DO???
Don't know why it is so, ever since I began reading The Da Vinci Code I have associated Robert Langdon with Warren - prestigious scholar of the humanities, subtle but genuine, sexually attractive for his age... I would think Warren fits more into the role than Tom Hanks (rumoured cast for the role in the coming Hollywood adaptation). Though Warren is English and married
Another mystery - as I read through Angels and Demons I realized that in terms of plot, it is actually more potential (as a bestseller suspense) than The Da Vinci Code; and yet I got bored fairly early... I suspect the reason for this is adaptation - that the formular worked on me once when I read The Da Vinci Code, but lost its effect in a second reading. In fact I even feel annoyed by some of its pretenses... the catch lines, the scene breaks - all conform to a Hollywood blockbuster fomular. What the author does is only placing the same formular under different settings:
1. An intelligent and sexy hero drawn into a plot;
2. A foreign heroine who is young, beautiful and smart, and who is a relative to the first victim;
3. A victim who has a secret identity;
4. A hostile authority figure;
5. An agent of the enemy from the marginal group;
6. Historical allusions to a huge bunch of artists and scholars;
7. A time limit;
8. Serial killing;
9. Treasure hunt;
10. Anti-Vatican theories;
etc...
I hope I can persevere till the last page...
Again, my idea of a good book is one that remains readable even after several readings. So, I regret to say it, Dan Brown, you fail in this
