“就是因为你小子一会一变我才不信，我要去你家看看，看看你是不是真的有狗屎运，可以找到这么漂亮一个女孩。”
“How could I believe in you as you change from one to the other? I would go to your house for an investigation, to find out whether you are so lucky to have such a beauty as your girlfriend.”
这下遇到麻烦了，他要真去了我那里，看到我并没有和冉静同居，我这种欺骗他的行为就暴露无遗，虽然没有什么大碍，总是有些尴尬。现在怎么办？我决定用拖字大法，争取将时间消耗，降低崔晓去我那里的几率。
What a big trouble! If he went to my house to find that I am not living together with Ran Jing, he would know that I cheated him. Although this might not matter a lot, it was really an embarrassment. What could I do? I decided to drag him on, and try to kill the time, and lower the rate for Cui Xiao’s visiting to my house.
“要去也不用这么急吧，我先带你玩玩。”崔晓对我的提议没有拒绝。
“We need not to be so urgent, and let me show you somewhere else interesting first.” Cui Xiao didn’t decline the proposal.
第一次玩得这么辛苦，时间过得如此之慢，好不容易磨到吃完晚饭近8点的时刻。
It was my first time to play with so much tireness. And the time seemed going on slowly. Finally it was nearly 8 o’clock after dinner.
“我现在带你去有名的酒吧转转，那里的美女出名地漂亮，出名地容易勾搭。”为了吸引崔晓的兴趣，我居然说了这么不附和我身份的话。
“Let me show you a well-known cafe. The girls there are famous for their beauty as well as their willing to be consorted.” To make Cui Xiao interested I talked in such a humble way!
“不用了，没这么急，我还有6天的时间，现在我就想去你那看看。”崔晓这家伙怎么就忘不了这件事呢？
“No. We needn’t to be so urgent, there are still 6 days left for me. Now I would most like to visit your house.” How could Cui Xiao be so persistant!
避无可避，我只能硬着头皮带崔晓回家，心里做好摊牌的准备。
Without anything else to do, I had to lead Cui Xiao home, and I was prepared to face the embarrassment.
打开房门，崔晓比我还急着进门。
After I opened the door, Cui Xiao moved quicker than me to enter the house.
“回来了？”一个让人感到温暖的声音传了过来。冉静正坐在沙发上看电视。
“You are back home.” A warm voice sounded. Ran Jing was watching TV in the couch.
“啊，嫂子在家啊。”崔晓这家伙居然用嫂子这么难听的称呼来称呼冉静。
“Oh, you are at home, saozi (sister-in-law, in chinese can be used to call somebody directly. ---translator).” Cui Xiao called Ran Jing with sister-in-law, such an aweful title!
“哦，你也来了，来，请坐，想喝点什么？”冉静不仅没有在意这个称呼，还很热情地招待崔晓，俨然一副女主人的架势。
“Well, you came too. Come, sit down... what would you like to drink?” Ran Jing did not mind that title, instead, she showed warm welcome to Cui Xiao, as if she was really the hostess.
“不客气，随便什么都行，我和陆飞不一样，我这人很随便。”这家伙的意思也就是我这个人很挑剔了，要不是现在没心情和这小子理论，一定好好修理一下他。
“You need not to be troubled, anything is OK for me. I am easy-going, which is different from Lu Fei.” So he meant that I was difficult to deal with? I would argue with him if I was not so tired.
“家里只有可乐了，你就将就一下吧。”冉静走去厨房拿出两听可乐，递给崔晓一听，我满以为另外一听是我的，可是当我把手伸出去的时候，冉静给了我一句：“不会自己拿，你也是客人啊？”
“There are only colas left at home. Wish you do not mind.” Ran Jing went into the kitchen and brought two tins of colas, with one for Cui Xiao. I thought the other one would be mine. But when I reached for it, Ran Jing said, “Fetch it for yourself. Are you a guest, too?”
崔晓在一边看着我无奈的表情说道：“嫂子，我还真羡慕陆飞，能找到一个像你这么出色的女孩，也不知道他上辈子做了什么事。”
Watching my embarrassment, Cui Xiao said, “saozi, I really envy Lu Fei, as he could have a beautiful girl like you. I am wondering what (good deeds) he did to get such a bless returned.”
冉静给了崔晓一个微笑，然后对我说：“听见没有，知道我好了吧？”
Ran Jing gave Cui Xiao a smile, and said to me, “Have you heard it? Now you know I am good.”
我只能干笑两声：“我什么时候说你不好了？”
I forced a smile and said, “When did I say you bad?”
“那是不是我提什么要求你都会答应啊？”这丫头还得寸进尺了，这个关键时刻，我不答应可以吗？
“Then would you accept all my requests?” The girl went further. And I could not refuse at this moment, could I?
“当然，你提什么要求我都乐意接受。”
“Sure. I will accept all your requests.”
“算你了，要求等我们俩的时候再向你提。”
“OK, it’s up to you. The requests will be refered to when there are only you and me.”
“好了，我受不了你们这么肉麻了，我来也来过了，我还是回酒店好了。”崔晓知趣地选择了离开，这次他再也不怀疑我和冉静同居这个不是事实的事实了。
“OK, I can no longer stand up to the honey of you two. As I have visited your house, it’s time for me to go back to the restaurant now.” Cui Xiao was well indicated to leave. And he would no longer double the “fact” that I was living with Ran Jing.
送走崔晓回到家里。
Went back into the house after saying bye with Cui Xiao.
“谢谢了，没想到你这么……好。”我找不到一个更合适的词来形容冉静今天的“仗义”之举。
“Thank you for your... KINDNESS which I didn’t expect.” I could not find a more appropriate word to describe the “noble” deeds that Ran Jing had done today.
“那是不是到你答我的时候了？”
“Then it is up to you for my requests.”
“以身相许，没问题，你只要要求，我立刻答应。”
“Marry you? No problem. Once you request, I would accept.”
“又来了，说了不好笑。”
“Nonsense again. It’s not funny.”
“那你有什么要求，提吧。”
“Anything else? Just say it.”
“过两天你就知道了。”冉静拎起她可爱的小包走了。
“You would know a few days later.” Ran Jing took her lovely small bag and left.

“大白天居然能遇到你，看来是老天爷让你来救我的。”冉静对我的要求不予回应。
“It's really rare to come across with you during the daytime. And maybe it's God who sent you to save me!” Ran Jing changed the topic, and did not response to my request.
“我也算舍身相救了，被人踩得一文不值，你是不是应该非常感激，来个以身相许什么的？”
“I sacrificed so much for you as I was so deeply insulted by that guy. What would you repay me...how about marry me?”
“少贫，不好笑，怎么今天起这么早？”
“Nonsense, It's not a pleasant joke. It not usual for you to get up so early. ”
我将起早的原因叙述了一番，接着表示我已经到了需要赶往火车站的时间。
I explained the reason why I got up so early, and indicated that it was time for me to go to the railway station.
“我正好没事，陪你一起去吧。”不知道这算不算我舍身相救后的回报。
“As I am free, I can go with you.” I was wondering whether this was a reward for my sacrifice.
“想一起去可以，先确认一下你的身份。”
我用眼睛示意我的手臂。
“You are welcome to go with me, but first please identify yourself.” I showed my arm with eyesight.
冉静瞪了我一眼，但是挽上了我的手臂，和我一同前往火车站，接我这个自小就认识但是不熟悉的朋友。
Ran Jing glared at me, but took my arm in hers. We both went to the railway station to see my friend off who I know from young but who I was not acquainted very much.
果然不出我所料，看到冉静的崔晓一脸的惊讶和妒忌，小声地和我嘀咕：“你小子真行啊，在这里混得是风生水起，女朋友这么漂亮。”
As expected, when Cui Xiao, the friend who I was to see off in the railway station, saw Ran Jing, his eyes were full of amazing and enviness. He whispered to me, “ How lucky you are! You are really enjoying yourself, with so pretty a girlfriend!”
“朋友，普通朋友。”我说的是实话，大实话。可是这个世界就是有很多人不相信实话，尤其当你很认真地说实话的时候，他们都会自以为是地认为你在掩饰。
“Just a friend, a common friend.” I was telling the truth. But Many people in the world do not believe in the truth, especially when you are speaking sincerely. They would think you are concealing.
“少来这一套，你那两下子我还不知道，怎么说你在学校也有个情场小浪子的称号。”多少年不开的壶，崔晓非要提一下。
“Stop this. I was completely acquainted with you that you have been famous as a playboy in the college.” What an awful topic!
“行了，兄弟，我求求你千万别再提这种丢人的事情，也不知道哪个没文化的人给我起了这么一个不但名不副实，还完全没有文学修养的称号。”我被冠上这样一个称号，完全是一个误会，不过这里不做解释了。
“Enough, brother. I beg you not to talk about this again. It's so embarrass! I wonder what a humble guy he was who named me in this way. It was not the truth, nor was it literature!” It was actually a misunderstanding which earn me such a fame.
招呼崔晓前往我已经预订好的酒店，由于最近三星级的酒店客满，我可是忍痛订了四星级的酒店给这小子休息，而且一订就是一个星期，因为他要玩一个星期。
Led Cui Xiao to the reserved restaurant. It was a four-star one because the three-stars were all full. It cost me much to reserve a room there. Even so, I reserved for a week for him because he would stay for so long.
“哎——等等，你带我去哪啊？”崔晓站在酒店门口问我。
“Oh... wait, where are you leading me to?” Cui Xiao stopped at the gate of the restaurant and asked me.
“去酒店啊，我替你订好了，四星级，七天，我全额付款，算对得起你小子了吧？”
“To a restaurant, which I have reserved for you, a four-star one, I pay for all your seven days' stay... I do enough for you, don't I?”
“不用，我们俩什么关系啊，老弟兄，我不用住酒店，住你那就行。”崔晓一副和我打死不离亲兄弟的架势。
“You needn't do like that. So close as we are, brothers, it would be OK to stay in your house instead of a restaurant.” Cui Xiao spoke as if we were as close as true siblings.
“啊？”我愣在当场，一下子不知道该说什么好。
“Eh...!” I paused at that moment, not knowing what to say.
既然我都替他订酒店了，就知道我实在不愿我的生活被人打扰，哪怕是一个星期，从我宁愿支付几千大元的酒店房费就可以看出我的态度。可是我又不知道该说什么来解释这个问题，作为好客的中国人，将朋友拒之门外似乎是一种不礼貌的行为，哪怕我为他支付了几千大元。
As I had reserved room in the restaurant, he should be indicated that I would not like to be bothered, even it would be only a week. My attitude was clear as I would rather pay thousands of yuan for a restaurant room. But I did not know how to explain this. Hospitable as we Chinese used to be, it seemed not polite to leave friends outdoors, even I afforded the fee for his stay.
“不好意思啊，我和陆飞一起住的，可能不太方便。”冉静插话道。我真有一种将冉静抱起来好好亲一下的冲动，这丫头太冰雪聪明了，从我一迟疑的态度就明白了我的想法。
“Sorry, I am living together with Lu Fei, and it would not be convenient...” Ran Jing interrupted. I would take Ran Jing in arm as kiss her at that moment. What a clever girl! She realized what I thought the moment I paused.
“哦，是这样啊，难怪。”崔晓一边说道，一边用那种猥琐的目光看着我。
“So. No wonder.” Cui Xiao talked and stared at me in an obsess way.
“你真的和她同居了？”崔晓在冉静有事告别之后问道。
“Is it true that you are living together with her?” Cui Xiao asked me after Ran Jing said bye for something else to do.
“你说你这人吧，刚才告诉你普通朋友你不信，现在告诉你同居了你又不信，到底说哪样你才信？”
“It's you! I just told you 'a common friend', you refuse to believe. And now tell you we are living together, you still refuse to believe. How could I get you convinced?”
