很多人都喜欢房子清扫过后焕然一新的感觉。同样，理完发的感觉也十分美好，因为多余的东西去除了。
儿童是快乐的，因为他没有过多的心事，也没有不必要的忧虑。而成人则不同，我们的生命中有太多的积压物和太多想像出来的复杂以及一些扩大了的悲痛。 用电脑的人都知道，回收站是需要经常清空的，否则会占用过多的空间，影响计算机的运转速度。人的头脑也是。你不能什么都扔掉，你也不能什么都留着。聪明的人是善于取舍的人，是适时取舍的人。有太多心事的人走不快，完全没有心事的人又多半缺乏理性。 而生命的难度也正在于此，你要不断清扫和放弃一些东西，因为“生命里填塞的东西愈少，就愈能发挥潜能”。记得一部戏里，一个人对主人公说：“走吧，不要回头，做不好不要回来。”他的意思是让他离开这里，是希望不要让过去拖累他。 清扫心灵是一种挣扎与奋斗的过程。人生是一个不断挥手的旅程，少年要告别家乡，伤心人要告别伤心地，雄鹰要告别安逸，快乐要告别悲伤。没有告别，就没有成长，要坚强，就要勇于转身，离别是为了更好地相聚。放弃也是一种宽容 一个人就像一个国家一样，没有宽容便没有成长。在一切成功要素中，胸怀是第一位，或者也可以说宽容是第一位的.有的时候，放弃进攻的言词，放弃愤怒的冲动，放弃报复的渴望，本身就是一种宽容。
聪明的人也经常要放弃解释。在许多人看来，解释就是掩饰。李敖说得好：有时解释是不必要的敌人不信你的解释，朋友无须你的解释。许多事情根本就无须解释，天不晴有时就是因为雨没下透，下透了就好了。 成功的人不要怕挨骂，因为只要你做事，就会出错，就会触动一些人，就会引起某些人的不满。事实上，能有50%的人赞成你就很不错了，世上极少有百分之百的事情，越美的东东西越容易打碎。要锻炼自己正确对待反对的能力，要勇敢地主动去征询反对意见。不要抱怨反对者，他完全可以有他的看法，这是他的自由，与你无关。不必费力气去和他争辩，赶路要紧。时间产生美 几乎每个人都有自己的伤心地，所以我们并不奇怪，一些看起来很重要的地方，比如故乡、母校、原单位、初恋现场，却并不见得有很多人踊跃地回去，那是因为有太多的故事在里面，有太多的沉重在原地。眼不见，心不烦。 而当一切都可以看开时，往往也是没有什么可以失去的时候，时间把往事都冲淡了，只留下了美好的记忆，青春的记忆，成长的记忆，拼搏的记忆，还有擦肩而过的灿烂笑容和寂寞黑夜里的温暖烛光。岁月可以软化最铁硬的心灵。 社会心理学家告诉我们，嫉妒产生于相近的业界和区域，冲突往往源自利益的纠缠。“一切生物都暴露在剧烈的斗争之中”，因为一切生物都有高速率增加的倾向，在资源有限的情况下，生存斗争是不可避免的。而最剧烈的斗争，差不多总是发生在同种的个体之间，因为它们居住在同一地域，需要同样食料，遭受同样威胁。一些紧张关系的缓和需要时间和距离，离得远了，感觉无关紧要了，也便放得开了。远远地看去，许多事物都是很美的。所以我们不必为不能解决的问题沮丧，再不能解决的问题，也会在时间的洪流里消失。敌意也罢，误解也罢，轻视也罢，矛盾也罢，都会随着时间的推移而淡淡化开，时间可以使沧海变成桑田。引退的美学 再好的眼睛，注视一件事物久了都会疲劳的，人的体力、情绪和智力周期决定了一个人无法永远留在高潮，在一个生命周期内，人不可避免地要走向低潮。一年便是一个生命周期。 “及时而漂亮的撤退与漂亮的进攻同样重要。辅佐某人久了，连幸运女神也会累的”。重要的不是到场时博得别人的喝彩，而是离开时别人对你的想念。引退的美学，即善始善终。它的关键是“终”的时机和方式。顺利抽身退出要比顺利地进入时更难，因为山顶很美，因为下山的时候人一般都比较疲惫。 “滚动的石头上不长青苔”，不下这座山便上不了那座山。人的一生会爬无数的山。每一座山都是那样的别致，但没有一座山真的值得你永远地留下来。 影响引退的一个因素是贪恋，另一个因素是过分执著。对于人生利益，任何一个人都不可过分执著。所谓不过分执著，就是不偏执于某一个方面，某一种欲望，某一种企图，某一种目的，某一种过程。任何偏执都可能使人失去中肯的判断，从而错过了美景，贻误了人生。输什么也不能输了心情 “你不可能因为给人一个微笑而丧失什么，因为它永远会再回来”。东西怎么出去，就会怎么回来。没有人不喜欢微笑。但问题是使人微笑的事物往往不在身边，而令你烦躁、不安的事物却往往挥之不去。不能与自己喜欢的人和事在一起，是许多人不快乐的根本原因，因为你没有快乐的来源. 一个人或事能令你不舒服是一定有着什么原因的，有的原因要过很久你才有可能知道，而有些原因你永远都不会知道，但这些都并不重要，重要的是它使你不舒服，他会影响你的心情，影响到你的判断，也影响到你的时间。 给别人一个重新认识你的机会，给自己一个认识更广阔世界的机会，有什么不好？
