美國一個由華裔科學家組成的小組，模仿壁虎四肢能緊緊垂直依附牆壁的原理，研製出一種新型乾燥黏膠，黏貼力較壁虎腳超出10倍。這種新黏膠的發明，令到人們渴望像漫畫中的蜘蛛俠般飛簷走壁的夢想，或有機會實現。在自然界，壁虎依靠神奇的腳「飛簷走壁」，靜止時緊緊吸附，移動時輕鬆脫離。成員包括喬治亞理工學院華裔科學家王中林及代頓大學研究員戴黎明的一個研究小組，最近成功利用碳納米管陣列製成仿生壁虎腳的黏膠物料，其吸附力勝過真正的壁虎腳，而且也能輕鬆脫離。這個研究小組在10月10日出版的最新一期《科學》雜誌上說，碳納米管是由純碳原子組成的管狀結構材料，具有尺寸微小(其直徑大約是頭髮直徑的萬分之一)、重量輕、柔軟靈活、機械強度高以及電學和熱學性能突出等特點。在碳納米管基礎上開發出的仿生壁虎腳黏膠，既能在垂直表面上輕鬆吸附重物，也能夠從不同角度輕鬆取下。王中林在接受新華社記者訪問時說，納米仿生是目前納米科學界最前沿的研究領域之一。近年來，科研人員試圖用納米材料來類比壁虎腳，但都局限於光滑的物體表面，而且無法有效控制「強吸附」和「弱脫附」的過程。而王中林的研究小組應用結構可以控制的直立型碳納米管陣列，成功研製出具有「強吸附」和「易脫附」性能的仿生壁虎腳，使仿生壁虎腳朝著實際應用方向，邁出了最關鍵的一步。王中林等人研製中的仿生壁虎腳，可黏附在多種物體表面，例如光滑如玻璃的表面、砂紙及聚四氟乙烯膜等相對粗糙的物體表面。如果目前的碳納米管陣列可以擴大，將來使用巴掌大的碳納米管陣列(10乘10厘米)，就可以在屋頂上懸掛一個100公斤重的人。

【明報專訊】三聚氰胺無處不在，很多人擔心各地受污染的食品令人防不勝防，但原來和三聚氰胺無關的食品，包括花生、濃茶和士多啤梨等，都可能導致患上腎結石。泌尿科專科醫生建議，要防止腎石形成，除了避免服用三聚氰胺外，每日應飲用至少10杯（每杯250毫升）清水。

有一位40歲從事文職的男士，每日以花生當零食，平日喜歡飲用啤酒和汽水代替清水，此習慣維持多年，一直沒有任何問題；但直至年前突然急性腎絞痛送院，醫生發現他體內2毫米闊的尿道，被一粒直徑8毫米猶如花生一樣大的腎石所閉塞，須立即用內窺鏡以雷射激光把腎石打碎排出體外。

泌尿科專科醫生李燦榮表示，腎石的成因多和飲食習慣有關，如因為飲水分量不足，小便呈深黃色，其實已是腎結石的警號。要保持腎臟健康，每天最少要有兩公升的小便排量，即正常分量每日小便5至6次，尿液的顏色應為淺黃色。每天至少飲用10杯（每杯約250毫升）清水，以確保有足夠的排尿量。

「飲水少、出汗量多」易患腎石

李燦榮解釋，尿液中如有一些物質濃度太高，沉澱積聚，便會在腎臟形成晶體，成為腎石。他提醒，某些「飲水少、出汗量多」的職業，是患上腎結石的「高危一族」，如職業司機、地盤工人、廚房工人等；他們應相對地飲用更多清水，以補充身體的水分。

很多人誤解鈣質會導致腎石，李燦榮澄清，適量的鈣可防止身體吸收食物中導致腎石的草酸；而花生、果仁、士多啤梨及菠菜等食物，全都含有高草酸成分，可能會增加患腎石的風險。他建議，平時應保持飲食均衡，進食高草酸的「危險」食物時，可同時吃用含鈣質的食物，以防止草酸傷害腎臟。

飲料方面，飲用濃茶、濃咖啡、啤酒及汽水後，應再飲用清水，以減低腎臟的壓力。而含有雙炭酸的梳打水（soda water），則最有效防止腎石形成；另外檸檬汁、西柚汁及橙汁等含檸檬酸鹽的飲料，亦有助防止患上腎石。

本港每10人便有1人患上腎結石，當中男性患病的風險比女性高出3倍。糖尿病人、痛風症、癌症及肥胖人士，患上腎石的風險更較其他人高一倍。李燦榮指出，有四分一患腎石的病人源於家族遺傳，而嬰兒會患上腎結石則「好少見，機會好微」。

影響大腦中樞神經安眠藥可致陽痿經濟轉差男士壓力增服長效陽痿藥可根治

【明報專訊】經濟轉差，生活壓力令不少男士失眠，需要依靠安眠藥入睡，但此舉原來有可能引致陽痿。泌尿科醫生葉維晉表示，長期服食安眠藥會影響大腦中樞神經，令性能力走下坡。他同時統計近7年的數字，發現在8000多個陽痿病例中，有兩成是心理因素引起，當中更多數發生於二三十歲的「年輕力壯」病人身上。葉指出，這類病人服食長效陽痿藥物後，有88%可回復勃起功能。

廣華醫院男士科由2001年1月至2007年12月期間，收到8505宗陽痿病例，年齡介乎25至77歲，當中21%與失眠有關，共有1786宗病例，病者年齡介乎18至78歲，平均年齡僅31歲。他表示，本港社會文化對性問題不夠開放，估計願意求診的人數，只及整體人數的一至兩成。

「對年輕病人來說，生理健康大多正常，但試過一次未能勃起，便信心大失，影響下次表現。」葉維晉說，陽痿有八成原因是由疾病及不良飲食習慣引起，其餘兩成則屬心理因素，而後者引致的陽痿是可以根治的。

另外，精神壓力導致的失眠，亦有可能間接造成陽痿。葉維晉解釋，「遇上失眠，有男士習慣服食安眠藥，此藥與抗抑鬱藥一樣，會影響大腦中樞神經，令反應變得遲鈍，引致勃起功能受阻。報告中與失眠有關的千多宗個案中，77%都有服食安眠藥；其餘23%則是本身有陽痿問題，與伴侶關係轉差而導致失眠。」

近七成人連帶改善失眠

葉表示，除了安眠藥，個別降血壓藥也會影響勃起功能，故建議陽痿患者可服食一種名為「他達那非」的長效陽痿藥物，起效時間為16至30分鐘，藥效可維持24至36小時，較一般的4至6小時持久，但常見副作用包括頭痛及腸胃不適。經藥物治療後，因失眠而引起陽痿的患者，有88%恢復勃起功能；因陽痿而導致失眠患者，亦有85%恢復功能，當中69%的人連帶失眠問題也有改善。

　看看宣傳香港的廣告片，有點陌生，再看看外國電影裡的香港，更加完全陌生，活在香港的你，根本沒有接觸過畫面裡的所謂香港。

《我在伊朗長大》

　　很喜歡那種黑白畫面的表達手法，節奏明快，偶爾在小處來一點幽默，可惜還是令你看後有點灰灰的感覺。

　　如作者所說，伊朗在外人眼中是個極端國家，一個充滿恐佈主義野蠻的地方，但真實的伊朗又是怎樣？我們認識的世界，有幾多是從西方國家的眼睛投射過來？當中加入了多少個人感觀？會否像香港被外國人扭曲變形得連本地人也覺陌生？我不敢說漫畫及電影有沒有被作者扭曲過，但以一個伊朗女孩來說一個關於伊朗關於自己的故事，總比由外人來說直接有說服力得多。漫畫和電影中的伊朗是不是完完全全一個真正的伊朗？我不敢說，但至少跟我們過往片面認識的有很大不同，看多了幾面，多了一點額外的感情。

　　假如你想從另一個角度認識伊朗認識這個世界，我誠意推介你看《我在伊朗長大》。想間單直接，看電影吧！但漫畫原著比電影更入肉入骨。

　　這類作品不是甚麼大路之作，花三四十元買VCD看吧，多多支持一下，否則很難再有投資者為大家引入這類高水準誠意之作。

【明報專訊】都市人腸胃鬧小毛病，多會依賴市面上五花八門的止肚痛藥、正露丸、止瀉藥等解決問題，但原來胡亂服用此類藥物，有可能導致腸臟閉塞，令大小腸腫脹，嚴重更可致命。曾有女病人在3日內連服多種肚痛藥，結果「愈食愈痛」，檢查後發現小腸比正常腫大4倍，脹至撕開，再遲半日便撐至小腸「爆開」，24小時內可導致死亡。

外科專科醫生丘章新的醫務中心，每年至少接收10宗此類個案，病者多因肚痛、腹瀉等腸胃問題服用成藥，但往往「心急貪多」，服後不見效便胡亂再服，結果「愈食愈差」，在看醫生時病情已由輕微腸胃炎惡化至腸臟閉塞。
停止蠕動積聚物撑爆腸
他表示，止肚痛藥是令腸胃放鬆，令腸部停止蠕動將食物推出體外，以達止瀉效果。一旦服食過量，腸部所有蠕動靜止，腸內積聚的東西無處泄出，便會塞在腸內。「成條腸塞晒，就好似吹波，大腸可以由3厘米脹至10多厘米，你話得唔得人驚？」
一名約40歲女病人向來有輕微腸黏連症，有次她肚痛時，胡亂服用市面多種止肚痛藥、正露丸、止瀉藥等，痛症不但沒有紓緩，更引致腹部脹大和便秘。3日後她抵不住痛去看醫生，檢查後發現她的小腸由正常的1厘米腫大至4厘米，小腸已脹至撕開，要立即開刀施手術。
醫生稱，再遲半日小腸便會被「撐爆」，導致腸內的排泄物和細菌進入腹膜，引起急性腹膜炎，再由腹部把細菌帶入血液，供應給全身器官，24小時內死亡率高於50%。
吞乾貨海味發脹易塞小腸
丘醫生又說，每年過年後都會有「冬菇伯伯」前來求診，這些伯伯在農曆新年吃團年飯時，不理自己無牙咀嚼，照樣把好意頭的滑溜冬菇、大隻蠔豉等乾貨海味整顆吞下肚，以至乾貨海味遇水後發脹，塞在小腸內不能消化。丘章新警告，市民遇上以上情况，切忌「自行診症」亂服成藥，應盡快求醫。

機會常偽裝成不幸

有一個人到一家大公司應徵公關經理，公司要錄取的名額只有一個，想不到報名者竟然出乎意料之外的多，

經過激烈的層層考試與關卡的篩選。最後，他終於接到面試通知單。

想不到，輪到他進入董事長室時，他竟然在董事長的面前摔了一跤，並把手中的資料撒的滿地，只見他從容不迫地，一一撿起來，並微笑地走到面試官的前面坐下。果然不錯，董事長劈頭第一個問題就問他，你覺得這樣的事情會影響你的面試成績嗎？

只見這個人微笑著回答:在人生的旅程中，時常會有意想不到的事情衝擊著我們，而這些打擊會產生什麼樣的結果，端看我們是以何種態度去面對，因為不同的態度，就會產生不同的結果。通常我都會以從容、積極、正向的態度去面對，只要盡了力，我就不太在乎結果是怎麼樣。

如果，太患得患失，反而無法將真正的實力展現出來。更何況，有很多事情的結果，並無法操之在我。

就像今天這件事情的成績是操之在董事長的手中，所以，會不會影響我面試的成績，應該是要問您，其實，這也是我想問的一個問題！不久後，他接到了錄取通知單，董事長的評言如下：你是一跤摔進本公司。

所以，如果沒有摔那一跤，說不定還無法展現出你的危機處理能力，而讓董事長欣賞。在人生的旅程中，當不如意之事來臨時，千萬別喪志或輕言放棄，因為，機會時常偽裝成不幸，來試探我們，端看我們如何來應對。
