Alone With The Yellow River

In a golden autumn, I went to the Yellow River alone. My eyes were filled up with the yellow color which brought me joy and reliability, while my heart was full of exciting feelings beyond description.

The Yellow River is indeed tortuous. However, she  crosses over mountain by mountain just for sure that she can get into the ocean. Isn’t life the same? Is there anyone can get to the other shore of life smoothly? Or would anyone like to give up their dreams easily? Neither I nor you. We are all going round one difficulty after another to realize our ultimate dreams, just like the Yellow River. The Yellow River has got the yellow color from the loess, and she will soon become clear without the loess. But she bears them all until she gets into the ocean, thus regains her natural color. She is beautiful forever, at least in my heart. 

The loess is also plain and simple. She is neither so fertile, not can she form wonderful mountains and rivers. However, she has brought up thousands of millions of people who love here from the bottom of their hearts. The history may neglect any of us, but it cannot wipe off the brilliant achievements done by the loess. When wearing shoes, we can’t get the feeling of being close to the loess. Just try to walk on with no shoes, will you feel like belonging to her surely. 

The most vivid thing here, is certain to be the kind yellow faces. They live here for generations, with the deep feelings to their beloved loess. They cultivate the soil with their sweat penetrating the land. Their hearts are as wide as the loess, while their souls are full of emotions just like the Yellow River. They are unrestrained, unadorned, and amiable. When sitting on their sheepskin rafts, listening to their straightforward songs, looking at their sturdy muscles, you would never feel even a little bit unpeaceful. 

Standing on the bank of the Yellow River, my heart was sentimentally attached to the yellow color. The sun was sinking in the west, but the deep feeling crushed into my heart, mind and soul. My feet seemed to take root here, unwilling to leave her behind….
