Cats

Thank you, sweetie! I see that you love cats too! There is quite a story behind these lovely kittens. Their mom was a stray, and too scared to let me get close to her. But every year she would bring her kittens into my back yard. I would tempt them with food until I could catch one; then that it to my work, and show it off and give it away. I did this for three years. I might add here, every kitten this mom had for three years, always had beautiful, deep blue eyes!

So the third year, I fixed a box for the mom, where she would feel safe, and checked it every morning. Sure enough, one morning, five new kittens, only a hour or so old! I should have taken them right then, but I decided I would do it after work. So when I got home from work, I rushed out to peek into the box, and the kittens were gone!

(I should have known this, for a mom always wants to move her kittens after birth, to stay away from the smell, that might lure in a fox or wolf that would eat her babies.)

She was sitting there, about 15 feet away from me, with a smug look on her face! I folded my arms, stared her down and said, "OK! Where did you put them?" She immediately turned around, and started walking, so I follower her. She showed me where she moved them to!!!!!! Can you imagine?

So I "catnapped" them. But now there was four instead of five. One was lost. I never found it. I put them in a box in my laundry room, which had an exterior door. She was afraid to go in, but finally, with all the crying they were making, she went in, and I closed the door! She was finally trapped. She got so she would let me pet her, but she quivered under my touch. Every day, I took the babies out and loved on them. This time, they were not wild! Finally, I took them, one at a time, to work, and found good homes for them too!
