Often our dreams
are dashed to the ground,
whether we are sleeping
or walking around.


Searching endlessly for something
that cannot be found.
Visions of happiness into our hearts
we try to pound.


Sleeping at night,
we can dream so sweet.
Or, see someone
we didn't want to meet.


Leap right up and jump
straight onto our feet.
Or, dream under the covers
with a gentle heartbeat.


So in my dreams,
I know you are there.
A picture of everything
so grand and so fair.


Whether I am sleeping
and into dreams I glare,
or wishing in a dream
and into the clouds I stare.


What can I say
to make you know?
It kills me how people
hurt each other so.


At least with you,
I have a love that glows.
Proudly, to the rest of the world
I have this to show!
