• Liu Xiang is a Chinese 110 metre hurdler. Liu is an Olympic Gold medalist and World Champion.[1] His 2004 Olympic gold medal was China's first in a men's track and field event. Furthermore he is the first Chinese athlete to achieve the "triple crown" of athletics (World Record Holder, World Champion and Olympic Champion) and hold the titles simultaneously.

  刘翔在2006年7月11日于国际田联超级大奖赛洛桑站男子110米栏决赛中打破了已保持十三年的世界纪录，成绩12.88秒。不过此記錄已在2008年6月12日被古巴選手罗鲍斯以12.87秒打破。
  
  刘翔之前曾经在国际田联世界田径锦标赛和国际田联世界室内田径锦标赛（两次）参加跨栏决赛，但是三次都由美国跨栏运动员阿兰·约翰逊夺得了金牌。
