Incredible amounts of ice are melting in the Arctic and the warmer temperatures have made it possible to sail all the way around Svalbard the northern most civilization in the world. What is happening in the Arctic islands is the best illustration of what happens to nature when global warming spreads. A cameraman has found space on a Russian expedition ship and has persuaded the crew to drop him off at several places around the islands. Completely alone on these harsh coasts he experiences first hand the consequences of global warming on the Arctic environment. We come very close to starving polar bears as they have no hunting grounds due to the fast melting ice. We also meet walruses polar foxes and many birds all of whom are feeling the affects of climate change.

IF WE DO NOT ACT QUICKLY THE EARTH IS BEING CONTAMINATED, AND, WE ARE HEADING FOR DISASTER. THE SEA IS ALREADY RISING BECUSE THE ICEBERGS ARE MELTING. AIR IS CONTINUALLY BEING CONTAMINATED WITH SMOKE AND OTHER, ELEMENTS.
We're on our way , to destruction
if we keep on polluting the air
the fate of these lands
depend on our hands
Let us save this fragile earth
which is being destroyed by man
The sky is black with pollution
and we have to find a quick solution.
Global warming has stepped in
causing these weather changes,
All this is happening infront of our eyes
Ice is melting, seas are rising
The sun's rays too
are quick to burn our faces
While rain forests are destroyed..........
leaving only empty spaces.
We are on our way to destruction
While factory spills contaminate the seas
They do not realize this massive devastation
All around a mountain of pollution increase
L:et us stop this craze for wealth
which is damaging our health
We must control our actions today
Because it is tomorrow's children
who will ultimately pay.
Hunger dominates in this day and age
Millions go unfed
While others accumulate wealth
Man should hang down his head in shame
All this is ruining evetyone's health.
Save this fragile mother earth
We have the power to mend
So let us all get together
and bring man's damage to an end.
