Personally I would see the bigger picture and realise what most people in palestine simply fail to do:

If they like it or not Israel as a state is there to stay. They have tried many times over decades with millions and millions of men with weapons from global superpowers (the USSR) to destroy this MINUTE country that is Israel. Everytime they have tried they have failed and countless people have died on both sides. I'd realise thus that they aren't going to destroy Israel, and that fighting Israel always has been as it always will be a fight that they cannot win. Thus, that carrying on the fight will only ever lead to defeat;death and pain. And just to top that off, I'd realise that Israel only ever attacks when the local muslims attack it. Thus, stop attacking Israel it stops attacking you.

What hamas are doing is terrorism. Israel haven't attacked them until after hamas have struck at them first. You are right, palestine does have that right and duty, and so does Israel. When hamas attack Israel, Israel will attack back. If it had been the other way round, and Israel had hit palestine first then I would say the same. But as it is, hamas sturck first.

No Israel didn't. The land that makes up the state of Israel was taken by the muslims from the Jews in the first place. The Jews only took back what was this. but anyway, even still Israel didn't. Over 1 million palestinians (so a country's population, Estonia or the gambia for example) live within Israel. Israel has never said the palestinas must leave. They home more palestinians than most arab countries do. Just you lot couldn't stand living under a Democracy so felt the need to go to war. Couldn't stand to live next door to someone who may happen not to be a muslim.
