If you love Me... you'll obey Me

If you love Me... you'll obey Me

If you pay attention to these laws and are careful to follow them, then the LORD your God will keep his covenant of love with you, as he swore to your forefathers.

He will love you and bless you and increase your numbers. He will bless the fruit of your womb, the crops of your land-- your grain, new wine and oil--the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks in the land that he swore to your forefathers to give you.

Deuteronomy 7:12-13 NIV

If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. For I gave you an example that you also should do as I did to you. Truly, truly, I say to you, a slave is not greater than his master, nor is one who is sent greater than the one who sent him. If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them.

John 13:14-17

Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 7:19-21 KJV

Thanks be unto God for His wonderful gift:
Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God
is the object of our faith; the only faith
that saves is faith in Him.

Enter by the narrow gate

Do all you can to go in by the narrow door! A lot of people will try to get in, but will not be able to. 25Once the owner of the house gets up and locks the door, you will be left standing outside. You will knock on the door and say, "Sir, open the door for us!"

But the owner will answer, "I don't know a thing about you!"

Then you will start saying, "We dined with you, and you taught in our streets."

But he will say, "I really don't know who you are! Get away from me, you evil people!"

Then when you have been thrown outside, you will weep and grit your teeth because you will see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets in God's kingdom. 29People will come from all directions and sit down to feast in God's kingdom. 30There the ones who are now least important will be the most important, and those who are now most important will be least important.

Luke 13:24-30

2007年6月29日 下午2點46分58秒 I WISH YOU ENOUGH

Recently I overheard a mother and daughter in their last moments together at the airport. They had announced the departure.

Standing near the security gate, they hugged and the mother said, "I love you and I wish you enough".

The daughter replied, "Mom, our life together has been more than enough. Your love is all I ever needed. I wish you enough, too, Mom".

They kissed and the daughter left. The mother walked over to the window where I was seated. Standing there I could see she wanted and needed to cry. I tried not to intrude on her privacy but she welcomed me in by asking, "Did you ever say good-bye to someone knowing it would be forever?".

Yes, I have," I replied. "Forgive me for asking, but why is this a forever good-bye?".

"I am old and she lives so far away. I have challenges ahead and the reality is - the next trip back will be for my funeral," she said.

"When you were saying good-bye, I heard you say, 'I wish you enough'. May I ask what that means?".

She began to smile. "That's a wish that has been handed down from other generations. My parents used to say it to everyone". She paused a moment and looked up as if trying to remember it in detail and she smiled even more. "When we said , 'I wish you enough', we were wanting the other person to have a life filled with just enough good things to sustain them". Then turning toward me, she shared the following as if she were reciting it from memory.

I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright no matter how gray the day may appear.

I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more.

I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive and everlasting.

I wish you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys in life may appear bigger.

I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.

I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.

I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye.

She then began to cry and walked away.

They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them but then an entire life to forget them.

2007年6月28日 下午1點41分52秒 The FRIEND Who Sticks Closer than a Brother

The Friend Who sticks closer than a brother...

O You who hear prayer,
To You all men come.
Iniquities prevail against me;
As for our transgressions,
You forgive them.

How blessed is the one whom You choose
and bring near to You
To dwell in Your courts.

We will be satisfied with the goodness
of Your house,
Your holy temple.

Psalm 65:2-4

The LORD is far from the wicked:
but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.

Proverbs 15:29 KJV

But I call to God, and the LORD saves me.
Evening, morning and noon I cry out in distress,
and he hears my voice.

Psalm 55:16:17 NIV

Thanks be unto God for His wonderful gift:
Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God
is the object of our faith; the only faith
that saves is faith in Him.

Enter by the narrow gate

"Strive to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able. When once the master of the house has risen and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and to knock at the door, saying, 'Lord, open to us,' then he will answer you, 'I do not know where you come from.' Then you will begin to say, 'We ate and drank in your presence, and you taught in our streets.' But he will say, 'I tell you, I do not know where you come from. Depart from me, all you workers of evil!'

In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God but you yourselves cast out. And people will come from east and west, and from north and south, and recline at table in the kingdom of God. And behold, some are last who will be first, and some are first who will be last."

He is our Maker, Redeemer, Protector

Keep sound wisdom and discretion,
so they will be life to your soul
And adornment to your neck.

Then you will walk in your way securely
And your foot will not stumble.

When you lie down, you will not be afraid;
When you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.

Do not be afraid of sudden fear,
nor of the onslaught of the wicked when it comes;
For the LORD will be your confidence
And will keep your foot from being caught.

Proverbs 3:21-26

He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee. In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword. Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh. At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth.

Job 5:19-22 KJV

Let the light of your face shine upon us, O LORD.
You have filled my heart with greater joy
than when their grain and new wine abound.

I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone,
O LORD, make me dwell in safety.

2007年6月26日 上午11點23分10秒 The Futility of Vanity and Self-Seeking Life

Some people dote on themselves and think only of adding to what they have. They are people of the world who have enough to live well but whose eyes are never satisfied. Such individuals live alone and die alone. At the same time, they have barren souls and empty hearts. This is Vanity.( Ecclesiastes 4:7)

The more people have, the better houses they must keep, the more servants they must employ, the more guests they must entertain, the more taxes they must pay, and the more worry they have about protecting what they own. WEALTH GIVES NO GUARANTEE FOR PERFECT HAPPINESS and CONTENTMENT.(Ecclesiastes 5:11)

Common laborers on a normal diet, sleep better at night than the overfed, overindulged rich people who carry their worries to their beds, where they toss and turn in sleepless concern about the next day.(Luke 12:17)

The more one has, the more he or she has to lose. And some lose it all, if not in this life, then at death and in the life to come. "We go out of this world the way we came in---empty-handed." (Ecclesiastes 5:15) Riches, wealth, and honor are gifts from GOD. Unlike sunshine and rain, which GOD has given to all people to enjoy, not everyone has received riches, wealth, and honor. In HIS providence, GOD gives them to some and not to others.(Ecclesiastes 6:2)

Our situation in life is set for us by the counsel of GOD. Some are born into homes of wealth, others into homes of poverty. Some are black, some white, some brown, and others are yellow. Some are born in remote areas, others in crowded cities, What cannot be altered should be accepted. It is better to reconcile ourselves to these things cheerfully and acquiesce than to quarrel with GOD. ( Ecclesiastes 6:10)

GOD has made all things beautiful. Nature and providence work together in ways beyond people's ability to search them out. In the end, we will see everything to have been done properly and at the right time. This will be the wonder of eternity, even though we see only imperfectly now. (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

All are of dust and return to dust. Yet there is a difference. The souls of beasts or wicked sinners die with their bodies. They go downward to earth. The spirits of mortals go upwards to meet their Heavenly Father and Maker. In the Final Judgment, the fixed state of those spirits will be determined; some will go to Everlasting Blessedness and others to Eternal Separation from GOD ( Eternal Death)---(Ecclesiastes 3:21)

Wisdom is to be preferred above everything else, for true wisdom always leads to GOD and to Salvation.( Ecclesiasts 4:13)

The Spirit of GOD drives us from the standards of this ephemeral or temporary world so that we may rest in GOD. In our worship of GOD in HIS house we should behave rightly, take no false step, keep our minds fixed on HIM, and offer the proper sacrifices. (Ecclesiastes 5:1)

All is Vanity!... Life is useless and empty when lived apart from the Divine Will or outside of fellowship with the true and real GOD WHO must be worshipped in spirit and truth for GOD is Spirit and is everywhere.. He Knows everything that a person is doing whether good or bad. Nothing is hidden from GOD. Anything bad or wicked thing done like sexual immorality, deceit, fraud, prostitution, covetousness, infidelity, theft, corruption, robbery, rumor-mongering, and cheating will never go unpunished and the evildoer will always reap the repercussions or consequences of the vile things he or she has done. (Ecclesiastes 1:2)

To GOD be the glory, honor, and praise for only HIM deserves all the glory! Amen! Praise Jesus, our Lord and Savior. The KING of Kings and LORD of Lords!
