The road to success is not straight

There is a curve called failure

A loop called confusion

Speed bumps called friends

Red lights called enemies

Caution lights called family

you'll have flats called jobs

But if you have determination

An engine called perseverance

Insurance called faith A driver called GOD

You'll make it to a place called SUCCESS!

I was inspired to write today.

Life is so intriguing.

Today’s tomorrow.

Revelations and sorrow Joyful, blissful, and contentment.

A sonogram showed the dark spot on my left breast.

She said Hum.

So I hummed Colors rose everywhere on the screen except where the dark spot was.

“We’ll have to have you come in on Friday for a biopsy, to make sure the tumor is not cancerous”

I hummed all the way home

I’ve had four friends die in the last year. Ranada, Tommy, Will, and Asif. (I miss you guys.

I’d like to say that the news today didn’t make me think of them, but it did.

I’d like to say that all the recent events never took place, but they did.

I take responsibility for my words, and actions.

I have no regrets to date.

I have won and lost.

The sound of existence resonates in my ears, heart, groin, and toes.

I hold on.

I hold on to words.

I hold on to sound and vibrations.

Elastic thoughts shoot through the air like a rubber band.

If I miss, no one notices.

When I hit, I make conscious minds infuse with inspiration.

I hold on to that.

And when the doctor says “I’m sure it’s nothing, we just need to be certain.”

I hold on to that.

Some people are not ready for responsibility, Some are forced to deal with it, I choose to be responsible.

I choose to take action and make small positive differences.

With or without.

I will be by my own side

If you decide to join my fight, my side, my page

Then so be it and I will love you until you hurt my cause

Many have opted out Deciding I wasn’t worth it I can’t understand why.

I am a good cause to fight for.

Just like an environmental activist

It defiantly stands that if you don’t love yourself, you can’t love me appropriately.

Some people indulge in excessiveness, and wonder why the void won’t cease.

Some call them Demons.

They stuff it all in a closet down the hall from their sanity.

Push a button and the door flings open,

scattering everywhere emotions that were told to stay down.

You do this to yourself.

You are doing this to yourself.

Maybe you like it that way And maybe, you like it that way

Whether I die alone, or with family and friends.

with or without a love, husband, or children at my side I hold on.

Revelations and sorrow Joyful, blissful, and contentment.
