MHCOMMUNITYNEEDS.INFO is a new site dedicated to providing information the to those who are in need of various services such as, parenting tips and advice, recent news, interactive maps, interesting places to visit, all kinds of information.
We encourage you to become a member of MHCN, we are a new site and would appreciate as much feedback and comments as you can provide.

MISSION STATEMENT
MHCOMMUNITYNEEDS.INFO includest errific highlights from our schools,
curriculum ideas, news updates and announcements. This section
will include a wide range of Local Resources, Health & Human
Services, and Self-Help Meetings and Groups, for Support,
Assistance and Information, for Youth to Seniors
The purpose of the Morrisanna/Highbridge Community Needs website is
to improve the quality of life for all the citizens in the area.
Through the promotion and support of organizations dedicated to
social and economic justice we(MHCN) will provide the latest
information possible to assistance our citizens.
MHCN is looking forward to be comprised of and with non-profit
organizations, enabling people to achieve fuller participation in
society through public education and the support of our srevices,
and by eliminating social, economic, cultural and/or political
barriers.
MHCN is committed to developing a culturally diverse membership:
including people of all ages, racial and ethnic backgrounds,
genders, sexual orientation, gender identity and class with or
without disabilities.
Values Statement of Morrisanna/Highbridge Community Needs
We are committed to effecting change within the social, political,
and economic systems in Connecticut.
We seek to alleviate the underlying conditions that cause
discrimination, economic exploitation, inequality, and lack of
opportunity.
We encourage organizing, social action and self-support in response
to injustice. We support non-profit organizations, which approach
social change in a variety of manners and from a variety of
perspectives.
We will maintain a strong financial foundation with collaborators
who share our vision of integrity, accountability, and social
responsibility.
We embrace cultural diversity and are committed to including, but
not limiting ourselves to people of all ages, races and ethnic
backgrounds, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, and
class, with our without disabilities.
FINDING SOLUTIONS TO COMMUNITY PROBLEMS
TOGETHER WE will be able to Advocate for Social Change.
Morrisanna/Highbridge Community Needs member be be able to say they
particpated in to change the underlying conditions that cause
social inequities. Morrisanna/Highbridge Community Needs wil
address the root causes of problems facing our communities.
Empower the Community. Morrisanna/Highbridge Community Needs
believes that the people closest to a problem often have the best
ideas about how to fix it. Member agencies provide people with the
tools and information they need to take control of their lives.
Support the efforts of those who have the least access to resources
by promoting strategies for change developed through community
involvement. Donors empower those striving to conserve the
environment, promote education, affordable healthcare, home
ownership, safe neighborhoods, and better employment opportunities.
Donors also empower those advocating to end discrimination based on
race, gender, class, age, sexual orientation and disability.

working for social change and economic justice.
You maximize the impact of your donation. Many
Morrisanna/Highbridge Community Needs members are small, grassroots
groups that have volunteers and limited financial resources. We are
skilled at making every dollar count. Because of our low overhead
costs, our donor’s designated contributions flow directly to our
member organizations. General donations are distributed amongst all
members.You help strengthen an entire community. All contributions
to Morrisanna/Highbridge Community Needs, will be used in a
professional manner, based on needs of the community.
