Move over, Avril. Out of the way, Kelly Clarkson. A new star is about to take flight. Like the pitch-black bird with which she shares a name, a nod to her Viking past, MARION RAVEN has already been hard at work conquering the world. Having already laid siege to Japan, Asia & Scandinavia, and having recently notched a top 10 throughout Europe with her much acclaimed duet with Meat Loaf in late 2006, the rest of the world is about to discover what all the noise is about, with the release of the Norwegian singer/songwriter’s debut full length album, Set Me Free.
All the songs were written or co-written by the 22-year-old Raven and feature her on both guitar & piano. The lead single, “Falling Away,” showcases Raven’s distinctive vocal talents that audiences worldwide have come to embrace. The video clip for the song, shot during the recent Colorado blizzard, features some of the world’s top snowboarders showcasing their stuff. Featured riders include Andreas Wiig (Two-time Gold Medalist 07’ X Games, 06 ‘X Games Silver Medalist, Snowboarder Magazine Jumper of the Year, Burton Abdominal Snowjam Champion, 2007 Vail Sessions winner), Hana Beaman (US Open Champion, X Games Silver Medalist, Transworld Magazine Female Rider of the Year) and Mike Casanova (Vans Cup Rail Jam Champion, Vans Cup Slopestyle Finalist).
“Shooting my video in the middle of a blizzard with snowboarders jumping over my head was crazy and a lot of fun at the same time. Andreas, Hana and Mike are amazing riders and they really show what they are about in the video,” said Raven.
To create her record, Raven worked with a number of top songwriters and producers. The results of these collaborations are evident on tracks such as “Break You” & “Here I Am” (co-written and produced by Max Martin), “13 Days,” which she composed with Canadian singer/songwriter Chantal Kreviazuk and Our Lady Peace’s Raine Maida & “Heads Will Roll,” co-written with Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx and James Michael. The track features Raven playing piano, electric and acoustic guitar. Says Sixx, “I’ve written with artists as diverse as Joey from Saliva to Meat Loaf and Vince Neil, but Marion is the most talented new artist I’ve worked with since I’ve been making music.”
Raven is also already a huge success in Japan where her album debuted at #6 on the charts and her single hit #1. She is already making waves in the U.S., not only having written with Nikki Sixx, but also with Art Alexakis from Everclear and Keith Nelson from Buckcherry.
Marion Raven’s highly-anticipated debut album Set Me Free will be released in the United States on July 24 on Eleven Seven Music. Interscope will be releasing the album in Canada, where Raven will be performing in ten Canadian cities as the opening act on Meat Loaf’s March, 2007 Arena tour.
Marion is well known to UK & European audiences, having dueted with the Meat Loaf on the top 10 smash “It’s All Coming Back To Me Now,” the lead track from the platinum-plus Bat Out Of Hell III. Raven will be opening on the Loaf’s UK/Europe tour in May/June 2007 in front of sold-out arena audiences throughout the continent. Set Me Free will be released in the UK & Europe through 11-7 in early 2007.

LOVE LOVE ISNT EVERY THING LOVING SOMEONE IS EVERY THING. Love is a feeling which lurks in every animate thing even in plants. Love is an intimate relation ship between two entities. Love is nothing but the heart's immortal thirst. As it is rightly said "We are all born for love. It is the principle of existence, and its only end" Sometime it gives us the ultimate happiness and some time sad thoughts and melancholic sighs. "Love is loveliest when embalmed in tears" If there is no love there will be no existence. If two entities do not love each other how this system will go on; if a mother does not love her child how she will rear it; If we do not love our home land so how we will protect our homeland from invaders; if we not love the beauty of nature so how we will console our sad hearts; if we do not love the God so how will we lead a civilized life and if the Almighty Allah does not love His creatures so how the universe go round. It is love that makes the world go round. Therefore we can say that love is an essence, a feeling an emotion and a passion of which no one can deny. Love is an instinct and all mankind love a lover and it comes naturally as leaves comes to a tree. Love is blind it happens without prior thoughts that's why Bacon rightly says: " it is impossible to love and be wise" experience seems to convince us that only fools trust, that only fools believe and accept all things. If this is true, then love is most foolish, for if it is not founded on trust, belief and acceptance, its not love. Who loves believe the impossible. A lover can do anything for her or his love and to prove it we have many examples. Farhad, the lover tears the chest of the solid rocked mountain for her Sherane, mistress" Majnoon becomes mad for her Laila and bear many hardships and pains, Anarkali accepts death but not leave her love; Romeo and Juliet sacrifices their lives for their love. That's why we can say that when love is not madness it is not love. Love is intense emotion passion, sensation a feeling which can not be expressed in worldly words it is spiritual. No one can give law to lovers because love is a greater law to itself. The intensity of love is very nicely elaborated in these lines of Shakespeare's greatest love drama "Romeo and Juliet" Juliet says: "Give me my Romeo; and when he shall die,Take him, and cut him out in little stars,And he will make the face of heaven so fine,That all the world will be in love with night,And pay no worship to the garish sun." Love brings many changes in a lover, it gives eloquence to the mute, it gives courage to the coward and it is love that makes the idle quick and sharp. A true lover can not express her or his true love because when it is expressed in worldly words it loses its sacredness (holiness). A true love can be found in the eyes of lover and his or her eyes are the index of his or her love. Love is the best and most beautiful thing in the world which can not be seen or touched. It must be felt with heart. Love is selfish it is not selfless. A love always demands the attainment of its love. Love is a fruit of marriage. For example if I love a girl so ultimately ill want that she must be mine. I can not do this that I love a girl and then give it to other and say that I am selfless in my love. That's why a lover says: " I will always want you in my life, I will always keep you in my heart… I will always need you by my side. Even our love to our creator The Almighty Allah is also selfish quite simple to prove it. I worship The Allah because in return He will bestow upon me His blessing and joy of Heaven. True love does not pertain to the body; it is the relationship between the body and the soul. True love does not pertain to the body; it is the relationship of one soul of another soul. There are mainly three strands (types) of love. Firstly there is conjugal love, love between wife and husband, married life, secondly the platonic love where love is regarded as a holy emotion like the worship of a devotee to God and thirdly extra-martial love physical union outside marriage. Among these three types of love conjugal love is the best one because it is based on certainty and trust it gives us a sense of serenity and bliss. Married love preserves mankind. If a person does not love his wife so it is nothing more than a rape because a sexual intercourse without love is equal to rape
