I have known many different kinds of people in my life...I have met MEN who are sensitive and caring and men who are cruel and calculating. I have known WOMEN who are sincere and honest and women who are jealous and hateful. I have seen Smiles filled with lies and Tears wet with truths. I've shared time with those who have needed me and I have been by myself when I was in need. I have been associated with people who are Dreamers, but no Doer's. I have dealt with people who make Promises, but never kept them. I have met people who have invited me in with a smile and stab me in the back. I found myself learning how to understand these different personalities and I have learn to avoid those that cause my life sadness and grief. Yet I have also learned to cause others sadness and grief. But my soul yearns for those that still believe in truths, honesty, sincerity, laughter, humor, compassion, true friendship. I have longed for a place where people can put their differences aside, but there are those who will never change their ways of hopeless concepts and endless self torture, emotional void, prejudice..those that rejoice at ones failures.. I will keep longing . . . until then I will take the Smiles with the Tears...
