We may never know the reasons
That our paths on earth have crossed...
But I know it was for the better;
And never for a loss!
Sometimes it's for an instant,
And when that instant ends,
I hope you'll always remember
That we parted as friends.
Sometimes it's for a lifetime
Sometimes but for a few days...
What e'er the time we're given,
I'm glad you came my way.
Sometimes it's for a purpose,
Maybe a better life to live...
Sometimes it's for a special need
For which we can surely give.
Sometimes it's simply to plant a seed
And stand back to watch it grow...
Sometimes the true purpose
We may NEVER really know!
But whatever the time or reason,
One thing I'm certain of;
Our paths were brought together
In our Father's Endless Love!
