The Dodo Bird became extinct around 1681.
-Their ranged in the Mauritius Island and the Indian Ocean.
-Mostly fruits consisted of their diet.
-Nests were grounded, due to ability to fly.
-Weight: approximately 50lbs.
-A large number of Dodo's were killed for food by the first
settlers of the Island.
-Pigs, monkeys, and rats that were brought to the island by these
setters, ate Dodo eggs because they were nested on the ground and
the Dodo had no fear of predators.
