You call me an angel
But how can that be ?!
Can only it sing nothing
As my love for thee ?!

There is nothing Angelic about
This woman that you know
Save for perhaps
The music which around me glow

It floats around me
Whitening the snow
Crisping the fall leaves
Makes the grass grow

I have nothing to give you
Can not you see I try ?!
Every tear you shed
Leaves a tear in my eye.

Every smile you bear
Leaves one on my face
Yet here I am alone
And you in your place

I long to see you once again
And would die to hear your voice
