True friends. What are they? They're the handful of people you know you can count on. So how should you treat your true friends? It sounds like an easy question to answer, but do you do the things you should to express your friendship? Too many of us don't.

You need to know what a true friend really is. There are acquaintances and there are people we know well. There are people who want to know our business or to tell us theirs. There are users who want our help and never offer theirs. These are not the people I'm talking about; these people aren't true friends.
True friends are the very special few who we know we can always count on through thick and thin. The people who will drive across town in a snow storm to help fix a flat or provide a ride home. People who will love us and show their concern even when we're being immature or petty. These are our true friends.
A true friend may be a family member you've known since birth, or it may be someone you only know online. A true friend could be any person. If you have only one true friend, you're blessed. If you have 5, you're one of the very fortunate few.
